Ready, Set, RUN!

Jacky, Julian, George, Zac and Tina sweated it out at the 2016 Melbourne Marathon and raised some much needed funds for the Salvos.

Running to give hope where it’s needed most, Julian and George tackled the 21km Half Marathon, while Jacky, Zac and Tina smashed their PBs in the 10km run.

Did you know that on any given night, 1 in 200 people are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Australia? Of those, 27% are young people under the age of 18.

Despite our consistent ranking as the world’s most liveable city, homelessness still remains a major issue in Melbourne, and Australia in general. Domestic and family violence, financial difficulties, and health issues are but a few of the factors propagating homelessness.

The Salvation Army works to provide a multitude of holistic services, including emergency accommodation and employment programs, to give those affected by homelessness hope for a new start.

We’re honoured to help contribute to this fantastic organisation”.

Team Scrubs are proud to have fundraised over $1,500 while raising awareness about our various services including emergency accommodation and employment programs.
